About the program
It took me 10 years to figure this out:
Taking your first steps as an artist or creator can be a great challenge. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced artist, the quality of your skills will influence the quality of your art. In the beginning you don't believe in your drawings, but with the right tools you will find confidence in your art.
This program was developed specifically for the people who have had these experiences. It was created for people who always had an idea in their head but didn't know how to bring it to life.
Part 1: Laying the Foundation
Objective: This module provides a comprehensive understanding of the essential basics of drawing. Whether it's the Mona Lisa or a small circle, everything starts with the first line.
Overview of art styles and methods
You will get to know the different art styles and drawing methods. Especially in the beginning you need the right mentality and approach to create art. We will also cover this.
First steps and preparations
Which tools should I use? How should I start if I have an idea? Well, that's what we'll cover in the first videos of this program as well.
Part 2: Mastering drawing techniques
Objective: Explore the world of sketching. Most people fail because they don't break down the big goal into smaller steps. Don't forget that every picture is the result of many smaller lines.
Learn the techniques
Discover the importance of simple shapes, stick figures and guidelines. You'll also learn how to erase effectively so you can really draw the picture you've always imagined.
Practical lessons
Start by sketching drawing patterns to apply your newly acquired skills. As with any skill, practice makes perfect. In this part we will go into practice to really learn how to apply the techniques to your drawings.
Part 3: Bringing the blank page to life
Objective: In this final part, we will combine everything so that you are able to see the “bigger picture”. We will cover the complete drawing process including composition, simple shape identification, inking with G-Pen and Calligraphy pen, shading and how to incorporate light and shadow.
Combining everything
If you want to draw a person or something else like an anime character, it's all about choosing the right references. We'll talk about topics such as copyright, crediting artists and the ability to choose dynamic poses.
